The Bird That Couldnt Fly

A bird upon the ground,
Watching the skies with yearning eyes.
Its wings, though strong, remain untouched,
Yet still it sings beneath the sun.
In the grass, it finds its place,
Each step a dance, each moment’s grace.
No soaring dreams above the trees,
Just simple joy in every breeze.
With heart so bold and spirit free,
It lives its truth in harmony.
Though heights are dreams just out of reach,
It teaches us what love can teach.
It sees the cat and those who kill,
But still it tries to survive; it is its will.
It asks God, “Please let my wings soar,”
God granted its wish, now it flies forevermore.  Up up and away it goes at speed This little bird goes off with speed
